First trip

Without the kids

In September 1987, Honda had a Sales contest, and dealership Presidents were invited to go to Japan. David’s boss also invited David and me on the trip of a lifetime.  Of course, we had a lot of planning to do since we had two children to think about. We figured it all out, and David’s parents and my sister shared the time of taking care of them. The trip to Japan was truly a trip of a lifetime! The trip started in Osaka, which is further South, and then we travelled mostly by bus. We headed North towards Kyoto, Suzuka, Nagano and then took the bullet train to Tokyo. It was a first-class trip all the way.

We were treated like Royalty!

The kids went to the Playgroup when they were 3 and 4 years old. My daughter loved it and enjoyed being with other children. My son was a different child. He was very attached to me and would cry whenever I would leave. I ended up spending a lot of time at the Playgroup. I figured it was better than not having him attend. He made some friends and enjoyed it as long as I was there. There were times towards the end when I no longer had to stay with him.
